Om

Om, the ancient Hinduism symbol and ritual, is frequently quoted in modern literary and cultural works. In Hermann Hesse’s Siddhartha, it represents the constantly shifting and evolving truth, in the American TV show Mad Men, it represents the final compromise in the face of the contradiction, in YouTube meditation videos, it becomes a decorative symbol of wisdom, calm, and Zen.
In the process of quoting and explaining, the meanings of Om are reinterpreted quite freely by the authors, and even more freely by the audience.
For us, Om’s meaning has gradually become rather vague.
